Search committees and interviewers often ask for three words to describe an applicant.
It will not be doing justice to Rozanne Rosenberg's many gifts to define her in three words, but I'll try
to set some reasonable limits on my prose and praise in describing this talented teacher.
Rozanne is a talented presenter. She speaks to students in a language they understand without condescending to them. She elevates classroom discourse. It is rare that we remember a demonstration lesson, but I have fond memories of Rozanne's presentation of a lesson on fractions. Who can forget a lesson based on pizza? It was a gem. Rozanne is a good listener. Never one to be silent about her ideas, Rozanne nevertheless listens carefully and respectfully to the thoughts of others and finds ways to enter into productive partnerships with colleagues who have divergent ideas from which she learns and refines her own thinking. Rozanne is collaborative. As a co-head teacher, Rozanne has used her creativity and respect for her colleagues to collaborate in fashioning an exciting learning environment. She works very well with others. Rozanne is smart and she has respect for presenting content at a high level to support the curiosity and interests of her students.
Rozanne is unflappable. Her sense of clarity and purpose, along with flexibility and a sense of humor, help her to tackle any classroom challenge. Rozanne loves her work. She arrives early and stays late, but that's not the only mark of a great teacher. Rozanne is dedicated to learning and happy when she is teaching. She sets the bar high for being the best at her craft. She's the best!

"I had the pleasure of working with Rozanne on the Second Grade team. She is hardworking, trustworthy, organized, creative and supportive. While working together, we often bounced ideas
off each other to enhance them and make them the best for our students. With students, Rozanne builds relationships and engages them by creating meaningful assignments based on their interests and curiosities. She encourages them to do their personal best and helps them achieve it.
Over the last four years, Rozanne has been more than a colleague, she has become my friend."
— Ellyn Noll, Second Grade teacher, Speyer Legacy School (2016-20)
"From the beginning of the year, Rozanne has been more of a co-teacher than an assistant. . . .
[She] is comfortable and capable leading the class, teaching lessons in every subject, working with struggling or misbehaving students, talking to parents and administrators, and keeping us on track with transitions and our schedule. She prepares for lessons that she is responsible for but also can jump in as necessary. Rozanne is professional, effective and collaborative in her approach. She is able to understand each student individually, and tailor her teaching and interactions based on their academic, social and emotional needs. . . . The students in our class are challenged, supported and cared for by Rozanne."
